David and his wife Sun-Min Kim are the creators and founders of Uglydoll, a lifestyle character brand which started as a series of plush toys in 2002, and the owners of the lifestyle brand “Sun-Min + David” responsible for the production of specialty goods, from Sofubi toys they have been manufacturing in Japan since 2002, to stationery and published goods.

David is also the creator of Bossy Bear, a series of picture books, best selling toys, and an animated TV show produced with Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment and Nickelodeon.

Sun-Min + David are the creators of “Littlebony” animations broadcast on NHK, produced by Sony Creative in Japan, and UVERchan, the mascot of J-pop sensation, UVERworld - featured on their first album and singles.

Sun-Min + David’s art, books, and millions of self produced products have been found everywhere from the MoMA stores in New York and LOFT in Tokyo to boutiques in Paris and their own shop in Seoul.

デイビッドと妻のソンミン・キムは、2002年にぬいぐるみから始まったライフスタイルブランド「Uglydoll」の生みの親であり創設者です。また、二人はライフスタイルブランド「Sun-Min + David」のオーナーでもあり、2002年から日本で製造しているソフビ人形をはじめ、文房具や出版物などの専門商品の制作を手がけています。

デイビッドは、絵本シリーズや大ヒット玩具、そしてロン・ハワード率いるイマジン・エンターテインメントとニコロデオンが共同制作したアニメ番組『ボッシー・ベア』の作者でもあります。

ソンミンとデイビッドは、ソニー・クリエイティブ（日本）制作でNHKにて放送されたアニメ『リトルボニー』や、J-POPシーンで人気のUVERworldの公式マスコット「UVERちゃん」の制作者でもあります。

二人のアートや書籍、そして数百万点に及ぶ自社製品は、ニューヨークのMoMAストアや東京のLOFT、パリのセレクトショップ、さらにはソウルにある自身のショップまで、世界中で展開されています。
